During the second One-Day International (ODI) of the three-match series between India and Australia, the pair of Ashton Agar and Mitchell Starc exhibited outstanding fielding effort to dismiss Virat Kohli.
Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa who sent Kohli back to the pavilion in the series opener at Wankhede, repeated history in Rajkot ODI as well.
It all happened on the first delivery of the 44th over when Zampa bowled a tossed-up ball on to the stumps. Indian skipper tried to launch it into the stands, but a brilliant work by Agar got the better of Kohli.
The Aussie all-rounder was positioned on long-off; he came near the boundary rope to collect the ball but lost his balance at the last moment. However, just before crossing the line, Agar lobbed the ball towards Starc who didn’t make any mistake and completed the catch.

It was the fifth time in ODIs that Zampa got the crucial wicket of Kohli-the most by any spinner in the world.
In the match, ‘Men in Blue’ posted a mammoth total of 340-6. Shikhar Dhawan (96), Kohli (78), and KL Rahul (80) were the run-scorers. In reply, the visitors got all out on 304, and the hosts won the match by 36 runs.
KL Rahul, who was asked to bat down the order and keep the wickets, got the ‘Player of the Match’ award for his tremendous performance.
Both the teams will now play against each other in a series decider on Sunday (Jan 19) at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
