The past ten years have seen 2574 One-Day International (ODI) matches with three ODI World Cups. A number of ODIs produced the best players who rocked the chart with their consistent and outstanding performances.
Batsmen from different countries made their impact visible in the past decade by claiming the highest ODI ratings.
Hashim Amla started the trend when he became the highest run-scorer in 2010. He bagged 1058 ODI runs and claimed 849 ratings.
Amla repeated his magical form in the following year as well. He earned a maximum of 840 points. The Durban-born cricketer didn’t stop there as he continued his divine touch. Amla got 901 ratings in the year 2012.
The Proteas batsmen kept their dominance in the 50-over format as Amla’s countryman AB de Villiers repeated a similar show for four consecutive years.
De Villiers claimed the highest ratings in the years 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. The right-hander scored 3574 runs in those four years.
Indian captain Virat Kohli carried the consistency shown by the South African batsmen as he topped the ICC rankings in 2017, 2018, and 2019. Kohli earned 876 ratings in 2017, 899 in 2018, and 887 in 2019.
