Cricket Australia has rescheduled the Bushfire Fundraiser match which was initially planned to be hosted at Sydney on Saturday, February 8. The star-studded match will now be played at Junction Oval in Melbourne on Sunday, February 9.

SCG (Sydney Cricket Ground) is scheduled to host the finals of the Big Bash League this season. The match is rescheduled to ensure proper pitch conditions and outfield for the all-important finals.

In other changes, Adam Gilchrist will lead Shane Warne’s team as the latter’s prior commitments ruled him out of the game. Sachin Tendulkar will coach Ricky Ponting’s XI while West Indian great Courtney Walsh will coach Gilchrist’s XI in the T10 match.

Also, the likes of Michael Clarke and Michael Hussey will not be able to take part in the match, along with a few prominent female cricketers. According to ANI, the two captains will elect their playing lineup later today.

As per the rules of the game, no batsmen can be dismissed on the first ball they play, while there is no fixed quota of overs for the bowlers. The powerplay phase of the innings will constitute the first five overs, with captains having the option of substituting players whenever they desire.

Bushfire Cricket Bash squad:

Adam Gilchrist (c), Ricky Ponting(c), Yuvraj Singh, Brian Lara, Justin Langer, Andrew Symonds, Wasim Akram, Shane Watson, Dan Christian, Matthew Hayden, Alex Blackwell, Brett Lee, Brad Haddin, Luke Hodge, Elyse Villani, Nick Riewoldt.
