The season of cricketing festivities is just around the corner, with the Indian Premier League (IPL) commencing on March 29 for its thirteenth season.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), in a unique manner, let their fans know who their ‘Trump Card’ is by using a snippet from the United States of America (USA) President Donald Trump’s speech this week.

The 45th President of the US, along with First Lady Melania Trump, paid a visit to India for negotiations with Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

During his hectic itinerary, Trump finally managed to be present at the inauguration ceremony of the revamped Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad.

In his speech, Trump talked about various issues and scopes of development in the ever-growing Indo-US ties. Also, the President lauded the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, for their commendable achievement and popularity in a cricket-frenzied nation like India.

RCB used the snippet of Trump’s speech at Motera to promote their iconic captain, Virat Kohli – letting their followers and other franchises know who their trump card is.

“If you know, you know. #PlayBold #NewDecadeNewRCB,” tweeted RCB.

RCB would dearly want to bring silverware in their empty cabinet this season. The Virat Kohli-led franchise is yet to open their account in the tally of IPL titles, along with Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Daredevils.

Having let go of stars such as Shimron Heytmyer, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Colin de Grandhomme, and Marcus Stoinis, RCB recruited stalwarts such as Aaron Finch, Chris Morris, and Kane Richardson into their ranks this season.
