Veteran Pakistan wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal grabbed the headlines recently for lashing out at selectors as he was ignored for the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh at home.
Senior players like Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez made a comeback in the shortest format of the game, but Akmal was left out despite his consistent performances in the domestic circuit.
Akmal finished as the second-highest run-scorer in 2019-20 season of Quaid-e-Azam trophy, scoring 906 runs in 11 matches. He last played for Pakistan in an ODI against West Indies in April 2017.
The 39-year-old is quite active on social media and often found interacting with his fans on Twitter. Recently, Akmal ran a ‘Q&A’ session, where he answered many questions posted by fans.
Akmal was asked by a user to name the best bowler in world cricket at present. He picked India’s Jasprit Bumrah and Australia’s Mitchell Starc above all others.
