Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen is known for voicing out his opinions boldly. He often presents his views on various topics via social media platform Twitter.

On Saturday, Pietersen posted a picture of himself doing plank workout – an isometric core strength exercise that involves maintaining a position similar to a push-up for the maximum possible time – by the poolside on Twitter. If one sees the scenes in the background, then it looks like the power-hitter seems to be on holiday.

However, Pietersen tweeted that there should be “no rest days,” followed by a hashtag “#PlankWell.”

Fans looked impressed and appreciated the 39-year-old for inspiring the young lads. Former Sri Lanka wicketkeeper-batsman Kumar Sangakkara also responded but in a cheeky way.

The left-handed batter teased Pietersen and said: “Would have been a beautiful pic without you in it @KP24”.

Sangakkara, who’s known for calmness and generosity, left fans into splits when they saw the funny side of former Sri Lankan skipper.

A few hours later, Pietersen also replied at Sangakkara’s tweet and said: “Chairman! You not allowed to tweet like that!”

Sangakkara has played 134 Tests, 404 ODIs, and 56 T20Is for his nation, in which he has clubbed 28016 runs – second-most in international cricket.
