The fiancée of Pat Cummins has revealed how the Australian fast bowler proposed her.

Cummins went down on one of his knees during a romantic picnic at a farm with long-term British girlfriend, Becky Boston, on February 5.

Boston said she was a little suspicious when Cummins pulled out a bottle of champagne during their lunch date.

“Pat surprised me with a picnic down in the country, and I had absolutely no idea it was coming,” she told the Herald Sun.

“I was a little bit suss when he pulled out the bottle of champagne. It was very romantic, he got down on one knee, and I think I just went into shock and threw myself on him.

“We are so, so happy and have been overwhelmed by the love and kind words we have received from everyone,” Becky, who is an interior designer by profession, added.

The pair shared loving snaps on Instagram to announce their engagement to the fans.

“My forever person. I am the happiest girl in the world right now!!” Boston captioned the image.

In December last year, Cummins became the most expensive foreign player in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise for INR 15.5 crore, outweighing previous highest-paid cricketer Ben Stokes who was roped in by Rajasthan Royals for INR 14.5 in 2017.

Speaking about Cummins’ IPL bid, Becky said she is incredibly proud of what her future husband has achieved.
