After a week of speculations, the United States of America President, Donald Trump, finally made it to the rechristened Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad to inaugurate the world’s largest cricketing arena.
He was accompanied by First Lady Melania Trump, along with daughter Ivanka Trump and other delegates from the North American superpower.
Trump, in tandem with Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, addressed the jam-packed audience present in the Motera Stadium with a maximum capacity of 1,10,000 people.
PM Modi also gave fans a sneak peek of what it would look like when International cricket finally resumes in the capital of Gujarat.

The last match played at the old stadium was way back in 2014, when it hosted one of the One-Dayers between India and Sri Lanka.
No matches were played since, to make room for Modi’s vision of building the largest cricket stadium in the world, which finally took shape with the inaugural ceremony on Monday.
One could not help but imagine the atmosphere when the Indian team plays its first match in the presence of a jam-packed stadium in Motera.
Earlier, a match between Asia XI and World XI was scheduled to be played in the revamped stadium but later was moved to the Sher-e-Bangla stadium in Dhaka.
Trump, in his long speech in the afternoon, took the opportunity to speak about the Indo-US ties and the number of deals that would take place in between the countries, in various spheres of development.
Trump spoke about military trade, as well as boosting the economic welfare of our country by increasing foreign investment.
Further, the 45th President of the United States, gave an insight into the scope of development in the field of space exploration, amongst other issues, such as the fight against terrorism.
