Sri Lanka Legends announce squad for Road Safety World Series 2020; Tillakaratne Dilshan to lead

As the date of Road Safety World Series is getting near day by day, the level of excitement is proliferating amongst fans. The legends of cricket from different parts of the world are joining hands to create awareness about road safety and change people’s mindset towards their behavior on the roads.

This series is a five-nation tournament which will feature some of the biggest names in cricket from India, Australia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and West Indies.

Players like Sachin Tendulkar, Brett Lee, Brian Lara, Jonty Rhodes, Muttiah Muralitharan will be seen exhibiting their style of play in the series full of legends.

The much-awaited tournament will begin from March 7 when India Legends will take on the challenge of West Indies legends.

A total of eleven matches will be played, where Wankhede Stadium will host two games, and MCA Stadium in Pune will host four.

Four matches will be played at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, whereas the final will take place at the Brabourne Stadium on March 22.

Recently, India Legends announced their squad for the mega event, now Sri Lanka have also joined the party and declared their squad.

Former Sri Lankan skipper Tillakaratne Dilshan will lead the side featuring some veteran players like Muralitharan, Chaminda Vaas, Farveez Maharoof, and Marvan Atapattu.

The highest wicket-taker in Test for Sri Lanka after Muralitharan, Rangana Herath will also be a part of the Lankan Legend squad.
