Arguably one of the best players of T20 format, Suresh Raina, has panegyrized India’s former skipper and his bestie MS Dhoni during a talk show. Raina expressed that his teammate in the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) camp is the best captain India ever had.

Raina also claimed Dhoni changed the Indian team entirely and brought the same atmosphere in the CSK unit.

“I think we have the best captain who has changed the Indian team like anything. Now we have that same aura in our dressing room,” Raina said on ‘The Super Kings show’ on Star Sports Tamil.

Dhoni, who made India champion in the 2007 and 2011 World Cup (WC), went for a break in cricket after India’s exit from the 2019 WC in England. Now, he’ll be back in action donning the yellow jersey in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Raina also spoke about the three closed stands in MA Chidambaram Stadium (CSK’s home ground), which are now open for everyone.

“We have all the seats available. Hopefully, we’ll have more fans now so that there is it will be more energy on the field,” added Raina.

The second-highest run-scorer in IPL also articulated his excitement about joining the CSK camp again.

“This year, we have a lot of new talent in our team. Piyush (Chawla) is there; then we have (Jos) Hazelwood, Sam Curran, Sai Kishore from Tamil Nadu, he has been bowling really well for them. So, I think we have a lot of mixture of youngsters and seniors,” Raina added further.
