Bangladesh beat India by three wickets to win the 2020 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup in Potchefstroom on Sunday by the Duckworth-Lewis (DLS) method.
Batting first, India were bundled out for 177 in 47.2 overs. Opener Yashaswi Jaiswal scored 88 runs off 121 balls.
Earlier, Bangladesh skipper Akbar Ali won the toss and elected to field first. India were unbeaten in the tournament before the big finale, winning all their five matches. In the semifinal on Tuesday (February 4), India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan by 10 wickets.
First-time finalists Bangladesh, on the other hand, emerged as the dark horse and beat South Africa and New Zealand in their journey to the finals. Bangladesh remained unbeaten in this tournament.
