Ajinkya Rahane, the vice-captain of India Test team, has donated Rs 10 lakh to the Maharastra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
Rahane took to Twitter on Sunday to reveal that he has donated a generous amount to fight the coronavirus.
Replying to a tweet from stand-up comedian Vikram Sathaye that said Rahane has donated Rs 10 lakh to the #CMReliefFund, Rahane wrote his contribution is just “a drop in the ocean”.
“This is just my tiny bit and a drop in the ocean. Will do my best to support in this difficult time. Meanwhile, stay home stay safe,” the Mumbaikar tweeted.

Rahane, who was roped in by Delhi Capitals for the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), joined Suresh Raina, Shikhar Dhawan, Gautam Gambhir and Sachin Tendulkar among those cricketers who to have donated funds in the country’s fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
On Saturday, South Ganguly confirmed that BCCI and it’s affiliated state associations have contributed Rs 51 crore towards Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM-CARES) Fund.
