BCCI announces India squad for 3-match ODI series against South Africa

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Sunday, announced a 15-man squad for the upcoming 3-match ODI series against South Africa.

Left-handed opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan, all-rounder Hardik Pandya and fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar have recovered well from their respective injuries and therefore have been recalled to the Indian side.

Virat Kohli’s deputy in limited-overs cricket, Rohit Sharma, continues to sit out after sustaining an injury during the recently-concluded New Zealand tour. While Prithvi Shaw will continue to bat in place of Rohit, also Shubham Gill has been roped in the final 15.

The Indian team will be taking on South Africa in a three-match ODI series with the series opener to be played at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala on March 12. The second and third ODI fixtures of the series will be played in Lucknow and Kolkata on March 15 and 18, respectively.
