Dean Jones hails this Indian batsman; says he sets the tone for his team

Amid Coronavirus scare many current and former cricketers have moved to social media to interact with their fans and also inspire them to stay at homes in order to stop the Covid-19 spread.

On Wednesday, former Australian cricketer Dean Jones ran a Q/A session and had a chat with his followers on various topics.

During the session, Jones heaped praise on an Indian batsman who, according to him, ‘set the tone’ for his team. Not only this, but Jones also rated him as an ‘amazing cricketer.’

Jones hailed India opener, Rohit Sharma.

Rohit was seen in the recently concluded limited over series against New Zealand; however, after a few games, he injured himself and had to miss the rest of the tour.

Jones said these words when a fan asked him to say something about the Indian deputy. The cricketer-turned-commentator said: “Hitman sets the tone for this Indian team. Amazing cricketer.”

Rohit’s absence in the team cost India in the ODIs as well as Test series against New Zealand, as the visitors suffered a whitewash in both the series.

The 32-year-old was supposed to make a comeback in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), but the tournament was suspended following the deadly disease outbreak.
