ICC Test Rankings: Jasprit Bumrah moves back into top 10; Kane Williamson, Marnus Labuschagne swap positions

The latest Test rankings by ICC was released on Tuesday, with the end of India’s tour to New Zealand. India’s premier express bowler Jasprit Bumrah returned to the Top 10 in the charts for the bowlers.

After coming back from a long layoff due to injury, Bumrah took the seventh spot in the rankings after jumping four places.
Player of the series, Tim Southee, with his tally of 14 wickets in the two-match series, jumped two places to secure his place at number four. His comrade, Trent Boult, also returned to the top 10 bowler list, currently ranked ninth.

Australian pacer Pat Cummins maintained his numero-uno position in the rankings closely followed by Neil Wagner in second place.

Among the batsmen, Kohli maintained his second position after Steve Smith, despite a lean patch during the New Zealand tour.

Due to his failure in Christchurch Test, New Zealand skipper, Kane Williamson swapped position with Marnus Labuschagne for the fourth spot in the rankings. India’s Cheteshwar Pujara gained a couple of places to move to number seven, whereas Ajinkya Rahane lost a spot, and is now placed at nine.

Kyle Jamieson, who played his debut series against India, galloped to the 43rd place from 80th, following an impressive show with the ball. Tom Blundell, on the other hand, gained 27 places to move to the 46th position.
