Legendary Indian captain and striker Sunil Chhetri revealed the IPL team he would want to represent. Already, representing Bengaluru FC in the Indian Super League, Chettri displayed his loyalty towards the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Chettri (72 international goals), whose scoring record is at par with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo (99 goals) and Pele (77 goals) in international football, speaks volumes of his contribution to the Indian football team.
The Bengaluru FC captain, who is amongst the top 10 scorers in the world, picked RCB as his team, where he would want to play cricket in the IPL.
During Chhetri’s recent interaction on Twitter with fans via QnA, one user asked, “If you get a chance to play cricket in which IPL franchise would you like to play??? #AskChetri @chetrisunil11.”
“I’m a Bangalore boy. That should answer your question,” India’s number 11, Chhetri replied.

The Indian forward, who was instrumental in taking the Bengaluru FC to ISL win in the 2017-18 season, is a citizen of Bangalore for a while now with his better half.
Chhetri was seen clicking pictures with Indian captain Virat Kohli during the IPL 2016 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
RCB, who are yet to open their account in the titles tally of IPL, enjoy a huge fan base. Interestingly, the two Bengaluru franchises are captained by Indian skippers of cricket and football.
