Irfan Pathan took the cricketing world by storm on his international debut against Australia 16 years ago.

Irfan was touted as the next big thing in Indian cricket. The Baroda all-rounder had a decent career with Team India. However, injuries and loss of form made it difficult for the left-arm pacer to make a comeback in the national set up. Recently, he brought down the curtains on his career.

On Friday (February 28), Irfan’s wife Safa Baig turned 26, and the former cricketer took to social media to post an adorable message for the love of his life.

“You are special to me not only on your birthday but everyday my darling. Wishing you a very happy birthday #safa #wifey #birthday #love #28thfeb,” tweeted Irfan.

Irfan met Jeddah-based Safa way back in 2014. Then they crossed paths at a public event, and their relationship has flourished with time.

Safa is an Indian national and works in a PR firm as an executive editor. She has also featured in several renowned fashion magazines.
