Out of favour Indian middle-order batsman, Kedar Jadhav celebrated his 35th birthday on Thursday, March 26. The Maharashtra cricketer displayed a tremendous gesture of compassion by donating blood to a patient in need at his hometown in Pune.

A blood donation NGO named ‘Bharat Seva Parivar’ posted the picture of Jadhav donating blood on Twitter.

Here’s the post:

Jadhav was scheduled to take part in the thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), donning the yellow jersey of Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament was suspended till April 15. Therefore, Jadhav had to come back home after resuming the training sessions at Chepauk with Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni, Murali Vijay, Piyush Chawla, Karn Sharma, KM Asif, and many others.

After India’s World Cup exit in the semi-finals last year, selectors made sure that Jadhav was part of their plans for ODIs as he was selected for the Australia and New Zealand ODI series.

Jadhav could not find a place in the Indian lineup throughout the 3-match series against the Aussies and was made to warm the bench.

After a moderate series against New Zealand, Jadhav could not make his way to the Indian squad for the series against South Africa. Selectors have already shown signs of moving on from the Maharashtra stalwart.
