Former England cricketer Marcus Trescothick recently revealed about the incident about him getting drunk and headbutting Kevin Pietersen’s nose in a party at Lahore.

According to Trescothick, he had too much to drink during their tour of Pakistan in 2005. England lost the three-match Test series by 2-0 and was comprehensively beaten by the hosts at Lahore.

The England team and staff were invited to a party organized by Vodafone, which no one showed interest in as they were upset by the loss.

The Karaoke Night, which went wild for the Pietersen-Trescothick duo, ended up in being headbutted and pinned down by the latter. Trescothick talked about the incident in great depth during the Barmy Army Podcast.

Trescothick and Co. were finding it challenging to find drinks during their trip to Pakistan. They went wild and were intoxicated to the extent that Pietersen got his bridge of the nose smashed.

Further, Trescothick revealed that former internationals Paul Nixon, Matthew Hoggard and Vodafone representative ‘Jim’ were at the party.

Both Trescothick and Pietersen were also part of the famous Ashes win of 2005, which is termed as the best series ever in Test cricket.

England was blessed to have an explosive opener in Marcus Trescothick, who later curtailed international career seeking mental fatigue and depression.

However, he remained legendary in the County circuit representing the Somerset club for several seasons.
