Mitchell McClenaghan names his favourite players from MI, SRH, CSK and RCB

In the threat of coronavirus, the world has gone standstill. Many cricket series/tournaments have been postponed, including the Indian Premier League (IPL), which has been suspended until April 15. The cash-rich league was scheduled to start on March 29.

The current situation has allowed quite a few cricketers to engage with their fans on social media.
New Zealand speedster Mitchell McClenaghan, who plays for Mumbai Indians in the IPL, also interacted with his fans as he ran a Q and A session on Twitter.

During this session, a fan asked the pacer ‘Who is his favourite player in the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise?’.

The Kiwi fast bowler responded to the question and revealed that his favourite player of the franchise is Ben Cutting. The Australian all-rounder played two seasons in 2016 and 2017. In the following year, Cutting joined Mitchell’s side Mumbai Indians.

In another question, the Black Caps paceman was asked to name his favourite player from MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Mitchell took the name of veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh. The Turbanator has taken 150 wickets in IPL. He is the third-highest wicket-taker in the lucrative league after Lasith Malinga (170) and Amit Mishra (157).

Another fan asked Mitchell to name the player he likes in Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The New Zealander named former Australian Simon Katich as his favourite in RCB.

The 33-year-old McClenaghan anticipated that fans would surely ask him to name his favourite from Mumbai Indians. Therefore, before the session with the fans got underway, he already revealed the name of Rohit Sharma as his favourite Indian player.
