Hardik Pandya was at his belligerent best as he slammed a whirlwind century off just 37 balls in the 16th DY Patil T20 Cup at the Reliance Corporate Park on Tuesday. Eyeing a comeback in the Indian squad after recovering from his lower back injury, Hardik has sent a strong message to the selectors ahead of the upcoming three-match ODI series against South Africa, starting March 12.

The 26-year-old all-rounder, who returned to competitive cricket last week, smashed eight fours and 10 sixes during his scintillating knock as Reliance 1 posted 252 for five against CAG in the Group C encounter.

Playing his second match post-surgery, Pandya also claimed five wickets in a splendid all-round show as Reliance 1 bowled out CAG for 151 to claim a 101 run win in their final league match at the Reliance Corporate Park in Ghansoli.

Among all his admirers, Hardik’s fiancee Natasa Stankovic stood out with her praise for the Baroda lad. Natasa, who got engaged with Hardik on the New Year’s day, shared his picture from the match in her Instagram stories, with text written on it: “37-ball hundred for Hardik ‘Kung Fu’ Pandya. The deadly hitter is back at work.”

Stankovic also added stickers of a roaring lion and ‘my heart is full’ on her post.
