On Day 2 of the ongoing second Test against New Zealand, Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja bowled a peach of a delivery to dismiss his counterpart Colin de Grandhomme.

In the 61st over of New Zealand’s first innings, Jadeja bowled a ripper to castle De Grandhomme. The ball was pitched on the off stump; it did turn enough to bluff the batsman and disturb the timber. De Grandhomme, meanwhile, played inside the line of his defence and didn’t anticipate the turn which Jadeja extracted through the surface.

Pacers leave India six down in their second innings

The Christchurch Test took rapid strides towards an early finish on the second day as both New Zealand and India jostled for some kind of an advantage. And after some exciting cricket, it was the Black Caps who took the ascendancy late in the day, having Virat Kohli & Co. reeling at 90 for 6 – with a lead of 97.

New Zealand, on the other hand, started the day at 63 for no loss and folded for 235 to hand India a seven-run lead.
