India opener Rohit Sharma’s love for multiple time Champions League winners, Real Madrid, is well known to one and all.

During various up-close and personal interactions, Rohit talked about him being an ardent Real Madrid fan, or Madridista, and his wish to watch ‘The El Clásico’ on numerous occasions.

So much so that La Liga opted for Rohit as their ambassador and the face of the league in India. For those unaware, El Clásico is one of the most anticipated events throughout the season and where age-old rivals of La Liga – Real Madrid and Barcelona – face-off against each other.

Due to an injury sustained during the final T20I against New Zealand, India’s premier opener missed out on the remainder of the New Zealand tour.

However, Rohit utilized the opportunity to visit Spain and attend the high-octane event in Spanish League football at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, along with his family.

Rohit recently posted a picture of him having a blast at the Spanish capital, along with wife Ritika Sajdeh and daughter Samaira.

He was also present during the El Clásico party, which involved several legends from the two giants of club football.

In the match between Real Madrid and Barcelona, Vinicius Junior and Mariano’s goals enabled the White Sharks to defeat the mighty Catalans, in the presence of their talisman Lionel Messi, by 2-0.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s pep talk with the Real Madrid team after the first half, spurred quite a motivation for the Brazilian as he celebrated with Ronaldo’s trademark “I’m Here Celebration” after scoring a goal.
