The outbreak of a ‘pandemic’ in coronavirus has affected cricketing tournaments around the globe. The cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL), which was slated to begin on March 29 initially, has also been postponed till April 15.
On Friday, West Indies’ veterans Chris Gayle and Darren Sammy, showed a glimpse as to how they are keeping himself busy while on quarantine. And on Saturday, the official Twitter handle of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted a video of “in-house magician” Shreyas Iyer – accompanied by his sister Natasha – entertaining fans with an impressive card trick.
“Trust our in-house magician @ShreyasIyer15 to keep us entertained when we are all indoors. Thanks for bringing smiles champ!” the BCCI captioned the video.

But card tricks aren’t the only magic he’s performing. At 25, Shreyas plays for the Indian team and also captains the Delhi Capitals in the IPL.
All the IPL eight franchises have called off their respective pre-tournament camps till further notice.
The BCCI has also asked their employees to work from home as the concerns over COVID-19 continued to rise in the country.
Friday witnessed the biggest single-day jump in coronavirus cases in India, and by Saturday afternoon, the number of confirmed cases in the country crossed the 250-mark. Four deaths have been reported so far in India due to the coronavirus.
