Arjun Tendulkar, son of the batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, recently held a Q/A session on his Instagram profile, where his fans asked him multiple questions.
One of the followers asked Arjun to name his favourite left-arm pacer. In reply, Jr. Tendulkar picked not one, but two fast-bowlers and both of them are from Australia. He revealed that former Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson and their current pace spearhead Mitchell Starc are his favourite left-arm pacers.
During the interaction, another fan asked Arjun to name his favourite all-rounder. Tendulkar, himself being a pace-bowling all-rounder, called England’s superstar Ben Stokes as his favourite. This doesn’t come as a surprise as Stokes has been at the helm for his country every time they needed someone to step up.
Arjun earned his maiden India U19 call-up in 2018 but was not eligible for the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup because of his age. He, however, grabbed eyeballs in the concluded year by helping Mumbai thrash Gujarat in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy. The 20-year-old claimed five wickets and registered figures of 5/30 to propel his side to victory. He also stood out in the game against Assam by taking three wickets while conceding only 14 runs.
Considering his performances, he is anticipated to don the national jersey soon if he keeps performing consistently.
