The entire world is suffering from the impact of Coronavirus pandemic. Many countries have been hit severely and due to which most nations have announced a complete lockdown in order to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Even in India, the deadly disease has claimed over 110 lives and has affected more than 4,000 people. Currently, the nation is under a 21-day lockdown, which has been followed by many public figures, including cricketers who are inspiring common citizens to follow the order and maintain social distancing.
Many cricketers have engaged in different activities to pass the time and also interact with fans and followers. Players like Shreyas Iyer, Rohit Sharma, Yuzvendra Chahal, Virat Kohli have recently shown the glimpse of what they are doing currently in the lockdown period. The Tamil Nadu cricketer Dinesh Karthik too shared updates about his life during a show on Cricbuzz.
During this show, Karthik was asked many questions, and he answered them accordingly. One question was to name his favourite pastime during the isolation period. The 34-year-old replied to the query and said that he has been reading books, watching a lot of movies on Netflix and spending time with family.
“I’ve been reading books, watching movies, Netflix and chill, spending time with my wife, my dog. Basically a lot of time with family and chilling at home.”
Another question that the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper faced was how many times does he wash hands these days. Karthik answered and said: “At least ten times, that’s the rule in the house.”
When asked about to reveal one app that Karthik is spending a lot of time at, he took the name of ‘House Party’.
Another question that Karthik was asked was to name one match highlight that he would not mind watching at home. The wicket-keeper batsman picked Nidahas Trophy finals, where he took India to victory after scoring a six on the last ball.
“The Nidahas Trophy final. That is probably the best matches I’ve played, and I really enjoyed playing.”
When quizzed to name his favourite lockdown partner, Karthik went for Team India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya.
“I think Hardik. He is always up to some mystery and some nonsense. So it will be good to have him around.”
Karthik was also asked about one complaint he’s hearing about himself at home during the current time. To which the right-handed batsman said his unnecessary cleaning habit is annoying wife Dipika Pallikal.
Karthik was supposed to play the 13th season of IPL, but due to COVID-19 spread, the BCCI decided to postpone it till mid-April.
