Mumbai Indians’ go-to all-rounder, Krunal Pandya, in a recent interaction on Twitter named the toughest bowler he has ever played against, in his budding career.
Both Pandya brothers – Hardik and Krunal have been an integral part of Mumbai Indians’ successful IPL campaigns in 2015, 2017 and 2019.
After Hardik was retained ahead of the mega-auctions of IPL, MI used their Right to Match (RTM) card such that Krunal resumed his services for the Ambanis.
Krunal went for an outrageous bid of INR 11 crores for which the IPL giants had no second thoughts about using their RTM card.
Soon, Krunal went on to receive his maiden international cap when India played a T20I series against West Indies in 2018.
However, according to Krunal, the one bowler he finds the toughest to face is Afghanistan’s ace spinner, Rashid Khan.

The two have met each other on several occasions in the IPL off-late whenever Mumbai Indians (MI) play against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
Since being bagged by the Sunrisers, Rashid’s career took off, and the wily spinner has never looked back since, featuring in top leagues all over the globe.
In the presence of stalwarts such as Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal, Krunal has found it challenging to break into the Indian T20 squad. However, Krunal is a regular feature for India ‘A’ side.
Keeping an eye on the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia later this year, Krunal was looking forward to the 13th edition of the IPL, to put his name in contention for Indian squad for the multilateral competition.
