They also defeated Windies and Australia in the ODIs and thrashed Sri Lanka in the T20Is.
Nonetheless, India faltered after a 5-0 whitewash over Kane Williamson-led Black Caps in their tour of New Zealand. From there on, they were hammered in the three-match ODI series and two Tests.
