While 2020 has been a horrible year for the entire world, so far, 2019 wasn’t too hot for Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya either.

India’s shocking loss at the World Cup and Hardik’s back injury which ruled him out of the tournament for over five months was just a couple of big hurdles he faced during this time. However, one of the biggest controversies of his professional career also took place when he decided to partner up with his best friend and India teammate KL Rahul on Karan Johar’s chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’.

In a recent Instagram live session with Dinesh Karthik, Pandya recalled the moment when everything got out of his hand and how he became a villain overnight.

“One coffee I had, mere ko bahut mehengi padi vo (proved to be too costly for me),” Hardik said.

“If you calculate all the coffee Starbucks have sold till now, mine was much costlier than that,” he added.

Well, with the kind of hate Hardik faced from his fans and female celebs in the country, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had to take action and they ended up by handing a ban to both Pandya and Rahul for the same ahead of the Australia ODIs and New Zealand tour.

Since then, Hardik has been working hard to improve his image.

His back surgery also garnered him a lot of support and good wishes from his fans and followers; he even engaged to be married to Serbian actress Natasa Stankovic.
