With not much happening in the sporting world due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the sportspersons are taking their time out to engage with fans on social media and keep themselves busy. Amid the lockdown imposed by various countries in a bid to prevent the further spread of the deadly coronavirus, Afghanistan and Sunrisers Hyderabad’s frontline spinner Rashid Khan took part in an Instagram live chat with popular TV presenter Ridhima Pathak.
During the interaction, Rashid was thrown with several questions from his fans and followers. Among them, the wily leg spinner also opened up on his favourite Bollywood movie, actor and actresses.
Rashid told Ridhima that people in Afghanistan love Bollywood films, and he has also learnt Hindi by watching movies.
Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan are the three famous stars in Afghanistan. When Rashid was asked about his choice, he picked Aamir Khan and named 3 idiots, Taare Zameen Par and Dangal among his favourite movies.
Rashid further revealed that Anushka Sharma and Preity Zinta are his favourite Bollywood actresses.
Apart from representing SRH in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Rashid is also a famous face in many other T20 leagues. He plays for Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League (BBL) and has been a regular member of the playing XI for the past three years.
While Rashid entertained fans with his strokeplay with the willow, he continued to impress with the ball in hand and also claimed a hat-trick (in their game against Sydney Sixers). Thus, he has been a force to reckon with for the Strikers and has fond memories of the picturesque Adelaide Oval.
Rashid was gearing up for the IPL 2020 edition, which was scheduled to bowl out from March 29. Nut now, the future of this year’s edition remains under wraps due to the coronavirus outbreak.
