India women’s team fast bowler, Shikha Pandey, has named her two favourite cricketers of all time. Pandey made the obvious choice of master blaster Sachin Tendulkar and South African veteran Shaun Pollock.
Pandey was recently part of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia, where India reached the finals. The seamer’s death bowling was instrumental during the nail-biting thriller against New Zealand.
Being a bowler, it is pretty evident that the Railways pacer idolizes the qualities of Pollock, who was perhaps the greatest seamer from South Africa ever produced.

Also, Pandey let the cat out of the bag by tagging Jemimah Rodrigues as the funniest in the dressing room. The reason being Jemimah’s ‘overacting’.
During India’s campaign in Australia, Rodrigues posted a viral video of her dancing to the tune of ‘Twist’, along with one of the security personnel. The video caught the attention of Bollywood star Kartik Aryan who lauded the duo’s moves.

Using the hashtag AskShikha, one of the fans also enquired about her inspiration for being a fast bowler. To which, she replied by saying, “I grew up watching a lot of test cricket and I loved watching fast bowlers the most. Loved watching the wickets package.”
