Out of favour Indian batsman Suresh Raina, recently, was asked about the two Chennai Super Kings teammates he would want to spend his quarantine period with.

Raina has been a core-member for the Yellow Brigade in the IPL since the inaugural season. The UP batsman picked Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo as his preferred quarantine partner.

“Jadeja is fun, he’s a good man. I love his company. I want to get quarantined in his farmhouse with his horses. We have a lot of similarities. He’s been doing a lot of hard work and I hope he does well for the country,” Raina justified on picking Jaddu.

Both Raina and Jadeja, apart from their stint at CSK, enjoyed an excellent bonding even while in the Indian team. The two have been great admirals for general MS Dhoni over the years.

“During the lockdown, you need to dance in your house. He (Bravo) loves to keep you happy, he might come up with some new songs to make me dance, and I would love to spend time with him,” Raina commented on why he picked the West Indian.

The trio has been at the nucleus of CSK plans in the 10-year long history of the franchise. In fact, CSK’s two-year hiatus from the tournament could not separate the trio as they featured for the now-disbanded Gujarat Lions in the season of 2016 and 2017.

After the auctions, CSK were quick to retain Raina and Jaddu along with their talismanic captain Dhoni, while Bravo was retained using the Right to Match (RTM) card. An excellent 2018 auction meant CSK retained their core group of players featuring the likes of Faf du Plessis and Murali Vijay.
