Dwayne Bravo reveals who will be the first player to make a T20 double-hundred

A double hundred in T20s sounds entirely implausible but the way modern-cricket is being played, not many would bet against it. The game is pretty much tilted in batsmen’s side nowadays, and it would not be surprising at all if a batter finally goes on to breach the 200-run mark during a T20 inning.

As of now, West Indies power hitter Chris Gayle holds the record for the highest score in a T20 game. He played a scintillating knock of 175 not out against the now-defunct Pune Warriors India in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016. In international cricket, Australia captain Aaron Finch holds the record for his 172-run knock against Zimbabwe.

And as the world awaits to see who becomes the first player to smash a T20 double century, West Indies star all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has named the player he thinks would be the first to achieve this feat.

“Rohit Sharma,” said Bravo in a video interview with ESPN Cricinfo when he was asked to name a player who can score a double hundred in T20 cricket.

A 43-ball 118 against Sri Lanka in December 2017 is Rohit Sharma’s highest individual score in the shortest format of the game. Currently, Rohit is the only batsman in the world with four T20I centuries to his name.

Who would win a 100-metre sprint between Dwayne Bravo and MS Dhoni?

Further in the interview, Bravo made a pick between him and his Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni when asked who would win a 100-metre sprit if the two compete with each other.

The Windies star picked Dhoni, who is the fastest player to run between the wickets and has often proved his mettle as a dashing athlete on the cricket pitch.

Dhoni had beaten Bravo when the two took part in a 100-metre race after CSK won the IPL 2018 title.
