he lockdown is one of the most challenging phases for the outgoing and socializing community. Often people are seen struggling to cope up with the strict regulations imposed by the various governments around the globe.
By the looks of it, even India’s talismanic captain, MS Dhoni, is facing difficulty to cope with the worldwide lockdown imposed amid COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.
The picture of Dhoni’s bearded look did quite a number of rounds on social media and also made its way into ‘Before Lockdown, and After Lockdown’ meme.
It even gave birth to speculations of Dhoni approaching his retirement soon with age catching up in the Twilight of his career.
However, MSD’s mother, Devaki, remained affirmative about his son adding a few more days to his glittering career, eyeing the T20 World Cup in Australia.
“Yes, I have seen his new look, but he’s not that old. No child is ever old for any mother. I am not sure about his playing the T20 World Cup. Let the coronavirus be over first. He knows it best when to take a call,” Devaki was quoted as saying in bdcrictime.
Many prominent cricketers still believe that Dhoni is one of the fittest around the world. Delhi Capitals’ assistant coach and former teammate, Mohammed Kaif went on to state that Dhoni is still the fastest runners in the world.
“I still remember the times when I ran with MS Dhoni between the wickets. The kind of pace and intensity with which Dhoni ran and continues to do so is unbelievable. I think MS Dhoni is the fastest runner between the wickets in the world. I was shocked to see how competitive a player he is, who doesn’t go to the gym, eats and loves his Butter Chicken and Biryani, run this fast,” Kaif told earlier during a recent interaction.
Only time will tell what fate lies for Dhoni and his comeback in the Indian team.
