India vice-captain Rohit Sharma turned 33 on Thursday (April 30). Wishes came pouring in from all corners of the world on social media for one of Indian cricket’s modern-day greats.

However, the right-handed batsman celebrated his birthday at home with his family due to the outbreak of coronavirus, which has killed more than 228,000 and infected over 3,230,000 people globally so far.

Well, on the occasion of his birthday, fans and cricket fraternity showered love and good wishes to Rohit on social media, making his day special amid the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown.

The ‘Hitman’ has also received an adorable birthday message from his wife, Ritika Sajdeh. She shared a few pictures of Rohit with her and daughter Samaira. “Happiest birthday to the one that makes me laugh till I can’t breathe, to my favorite travel companion, to my best friend, to the best dad, to the one that can’t sing even if his life depended on it. To the best I could ever wish for, happy birthday love you, Ro,” Ritika captioned her post.

In one of the episodes of Breakfast with Champions, Rohit had revealed about his first meeting with Ritika. Rohit met the love of his life during an advertisement shoot when he was just 20. Talking about their first meeting, Rohit said that he reached the location of the shoot where Yuvraj Singh and Irfan Pathan were also present, and he went to meet the former in his trailer.

Rohit saw Ritika sitting next to Yuvraj, and before he could start any conversation, Yuvi warned him to stay away as she was like his ‘sister’. This caught Rohit off guard as he said he was there just to meet her. So for the entire shoot, he was furious at Ritika and was thinking of her arrogance.
