With the circumstance around the globe looking grave due to coronavirus pandemic, a bit of uplifting news welcomed Bangladesh’s star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and his wife Umme Ahmed Shishir as they became proud parents of a baby girl on the first day of Ramadan (April 24).

On Saturday (May 2), Shakib revealed the name of their newborn baby, Errum Hasan, which means Jannat (heaven). The 33-year-old shared a picture on his Facebook page to make the revelations.

The Jessore-born Shakib captioned the adorable picture and wrote, “On 24th April the first day of Ramadan Kareem on a Friday at fajar time we have been blessed with another baby girl, another blessing from Allah SWT and we have named her (Errum Hasan) means (Jannat) because she truly is a piece of heaven Alhamdulillah.” Even Shishir posted the same on her Instagram account.

Currently, Shakib is serving a two-year ban imposed by the ICC for failing to report corrupt approaches made to him.

The southpaw will be free to resume international cricket on October 29, 2020.
