Amid lockdown, cricketers have increased their social media presence by regularly posting something to entertain their fans and followers. In the process, Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan took to Instagram – a photo and video-sharing social networking platform – to wish his step-daughter Aliyah happy birthday with a unique post.

The 34-year-old explosive batsman shared a video on Tuesday, in which he can be seen dancing with his daughter. Aliyah, though looked shy while shaking her legs but the chemistry between the father and daughter was completely visible as she burst into laughter before completing the dance step.

Shikhar captioned the video with a heartwarming message addressing Aliyah as ‘Angel’ and wished her to shine like a star.

“Happy birthday, my angel! May you forever sparkle and shine like the star that you are. I miss you so much. Take care and enjoy your day,” wrote Shikhar.

Shikhar’s many fans and followers also wished Aliyah with lovely comments, but one response took away all the limelight, and it came from the birthday girl herself.

“Thanks for choosing this video lol. Love u so much papa miss u,” Aliyah replied on Shikhar’s Instagram post along with two red heart emojis.
