Former Pakistani speedster Shoaib Akhtar is known for his extreme pace and unbelievable capability of bowling consistently at 150 kmph. The right-armer used to terrify batsmen across all the teams simply by his long run-up and unreal speed. Apart from his fearsome bowling, Akhtar is also famous for voicing out his opinions on several topics related to the game.

Recently, Akhtar participated in a candid interview on social networking app Helo, where he interacted with his fans and discussed plenty of things.

During the chat, the ‘Rawalpindi Express’ was asked whether he would like to assist the Indian bowling department, to which Akhtar revealed that he is ready to join the bowling unit as their coach.

Akhtar stated that he wants to share his learning with the young bowlers and can help to produce more aggressive and talkative pacers.

“I will definitely. My job is to spread knowledge. What I have learned is knowledge, and I will spread it. I will produce more aggressive, fast and more talkative bowlers than the current ones who will tell-off the batsmen in a way that you will enjoy a lot,” said Akhtar.

The 44-year-old also expressed the desire to coach one of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Akhtar opined that he would like to coach the two-time IPL champions in future.

The legendary fast bowler also talked about the episode when he first met India’s cricketing icon, Sachin Tendulkar. He recalled the Chennai Test in 1998 and said he had no idea as to what kind of a popularity Sachin had but in that series he experienced it.

“I had seen him but didn’t know how big a name he was in India. In Chennai, I got to know that he was known as a god in India. Mind you; he is a very good friend of mine. In 1998, when I bowled as fast as I could, the Indian public celebrated with me. I have a big fan following in India,” Akhtar added.
