The seed of T20 format was planted by England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) back in 2003 in the inter-county competition. After the success, the International Cricket Council (ICC) acknowledged the newest format and the first Men’s T20 international was held between Australia and New Zealand on February 17, 2005, at Eden Park in Auckland. Since then, there have been numerous T20Is played between various nations.
Without a doubt, one could say that the shorter format has helped fans to see cricket as a mode of entertainment. It has also given a platform to many such batsmen who were not considered to be technically correct but had the ability to send the ball into the stands.
The massive love and acceptance by fans have also given birth to many domestic T20 tournaments, such as the Indian Premier League (IPL), Big Bash League (BBL), Vitality Blast, Caribbean Premier League (CPL), Pakistan Super League (PSL) and few more.
With more and more matches at international level as well in the domestic circuit, shots like ‘Dil Scoop’, ‘Switch Hit’, ‘The Helicopter’ etc. came into existence. However, the format has left a heavy impact on bowlers as they can be thrashed in any part of the ground irrespective of the number of balls delivered in the match.
Many big names in the shorter format have been on the receiving end whenever batsmen take bowlers to the cleaners. Let’s have a look at five such bowlers who have conceded most sixes in T20 format across the world.
5.) Sunil Narine
The most surprising name in this list is of West Indies’ mystery spinner Sunil Narine. The offie, who is regarded as one of the toughest bowlers to pick has been greeted with many sixes in his T20 career by the batsmen.
Narine has appeared in 336 T20 matches so far in his career and has bowled 7682 deliveries, which is the second-highest tally by any bowler in the history. The Trinidadian bowler has taken 379 wickets which is the third-best figure by any bowler in the world. When it comes to conceding runs, then Narine again sits at the third place having given as many as 7720 runs in T20s. The 31-year-old has conceded 245 sixes in his T20 career.

The talented all-rounder has so far played 321 T20 matches and bowled 5460 deliveries. He has also given 7532 runs in that many games. Out of which 1656 runs have come from sixes as the Jamaican cricketer has conceded 276 sixes in his T20 career.
