The untimely death of Sushant Singh Rajput came as a shock to the entire country. The Bollywood actor committed suicide at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on Sunday. According to reports, Sushant was battling against depression for quite a while, and he was also going through treatment for it.
Condolences and tributes poured in after the news of Sushant’s demise spread like wildfire on social media.
Along with the members from the film fraternity, the cricket fraternity also paid tribute to Sushant after his sudden death. Several former and current cricketers including Sachin Tendulkar, Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, Shane Watson, David Warner and Rohit Sharma paid tribute to Sushant and expressed their grief.
Team India fast bowler, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who is recovering from his groin injury, also mourned Sushant’s demise. “Absolutely shocked and disturbed to hear about Sushant Singh Rajput. My deepest condolences to his family, friends and loved ones. RIP Sushant. Gone too soon,” wrote Bhuvi in his social-media post.

Originally from Bihar, Sushant had started his acting career through Television shows. He became a famous face after gaining popularity with daily soap Pavitra Rishta.
Sushant eventually paved his way into Bollywood and made his debut with Abhishek Kapoor directed Kai Po Che. He also earned a Filmfare nomination for the Best Male Debut. Sushant delivered impressive performances in many other successful films like Shhudh Desi Romance, PK, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story Kedarnath and Chhichhore.
Sushant’s portrayal of former Indian captain MS Dhoni in his biopic was one of the highlights of the late actor’s career. He gained many accolades for his superb performance in the movie.
Sushant had also garnered critical acclaim for his role in Dibakar Banerjee’s Detective Byomkesh Bakshy. His recent release was Chhichhore which also gained critical and commercial success, and his next Bollywood project was Dil Bechara with debutant Sanjana Sanghi.
