As soon as the news related to Sushant Singh Rajput‘s suicide hit the social media platforms, it shocked the entire world. The Bollywood actor was only 34-year-old when he hanged himself in his room in Bandra, Mumbai.

For a lot of people, Sushant was widely known as the portrayer of MS Dhoni in the latter’s biopic. Sushant earned a lot of praise from actors, cricketers, and general audience for his performance in the movie. However, the most special recognition came from Dhoni himself.

Speaking about the same, the producer of the movie, Arun Pandey, revealed some interesting memories of Sushant during a chat with Indian Express. Pandey recalled the episode when Sushant first played the famous ‘helicopter shot’ of Dhoni.

Pandey expressed that Sushant’s attempt to play the shot impressed Dhoni and the cricketer couldn’t resist himself from showering praiseworthy comments for the actor.

“I still remember that child-like smile on Sushant’s face when Mahi, after watching a training clip of the actor playing the helicopter shot on his phone, said in jest: ‘Are tu to bilkul photocopy kar diya, Ranji Trophy khel jaoge tum (You copied me brilliantly, and you might end up playing the Ranji Trophy),” said Pandey.

Pandey further said to be more like Dhoni, Sushant used to spend so much of time with the wicketkeeper-batsman and ask a lot of queries. The producer stated that one day Dhoni told Sushant that he asks too many questions.

“He would have long sessions with Dhoni too. Again, the questions kept on coming. If he wasn’t satisfied with any answer or if Dhoni was evasive, he would slightly twist the same question and try his luck again,” revealed Pandey.

“Once I remember, Dhoni rolled his eyes and said: ‘Arre bhai, kitne questions poochta hai tu! (How many questions do you ask brother)’. I remember Sushant’s reply. He said, ‘Bhaisaab, everybody is going to search you in me, I will have to do everything the same way as you do’,” added Pandey.
