Cricket fraternity condoles with Rashid Khan over demise of his mother

Afghanistan star Rashid Khan’s mother passed away on Thursday due to a prolonged illness. The young spin sensation posted a heartfelt message for his late mother.

“You were my home my mother I had no home but you. I can’t believe you are no more with me you will be missed forever. Rest in Peace,” tweeted Rashid.

After Afghanistan team’s poor show in the 2019 World Cup, Rashid was appointed as skipper in limited-overs formats. But within a couple of months, Asghar Afghan was again recalled for the job.

Under Rashid’s captaincy, Afghanistan won the historic one-off Test series against Bangladesh.

Apart from Rashid’s fans, the current and former cricketers across the world have been paying condolences to the versatile leg-spinner on Twitter.
