News of former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi being tested positive for coronavirus shook the entire cricket fraternity and his fans. Wishes have been pouring in for Afridi’s speedy recovery since.

Among many Gautam Gambhir, India’s World Cup-winning team member, decided to momentarily brush his political enmity with Afridi under the carpet and hoped for the latter’s speedy recovery.

“Nobody should be infected with this virus. I have political differences with Shahid Afridi but I want him to recover as soon as possible,” Gambhir said at Salaam Cricket 2020 as quoted by India Today.

Meanwhile, many current and former cricketers have given their well-wishes to Afridi via Twitter.
