“I will kill you”: Sania Mirza and Babar Azam engage in a hilarious ‘bhabhi-devar’ conversation
Sania Mirza and Babar Azam

Pakistan cricket team’s star batsman Babar Azam and India’s tennis ace Sania Mirza recently got engaged in a ‘devar-bhabhi’ conversation on social media. The innocent Babar received a ‘threat’ from none other than the wife of his senior teammate Shoaib Malik for not calling Sania his favourite ‘bhabhi’.

In an Instagram Live session, Babar, who is well-known for his crafty stroke-making on the cricket field, tried to tease Sania by saying that former captain Sarfraz Ahmed’s wife Khushbakht is his favourite.

It all happened after Shoaib posed the question to the Pakistani ace batter, asking who is his favourite bhabhi. Babar’s reply ‘infuriated’ the lovely Sania who replied” “I will kill you.” She also said that she wouldn’t let him sleep on their couch anymore.

Not only Sania, former Pakistani cricketer Azhar Mahmood’s wife, Ebba Qureshi also reacted for not being chosen as the favourite bhabhi. “Mardaalungi”, wrote Ebba while adding ‘Nice Thanks. You’re not invited anymore.’

The world badly needs Indo-Pak rivalry to resume, says Shoaib Malik

The 38-year-old Malik believes that Pakistan and India should resume their cricket rivalry for the world to see. “I think the world badly needs this rivalry to resume, in the same way, that world cricket needs the Ashes,” Malik told PakPassion.net.

“Could England and Australia imagine Test cricket without an Ashes series? Both series are played with the same kind of passion and have such a great history, so it is a shame that we don’t play right now,” he added.

“Also, I have Pakistani friends who love to talk about Indian cricketers with respect and admiration. Similarly, I and my Pakistan teammates are given such love and support when we play in India so it is a rivalry that I would like to see return as soon as it is possible,” the all-rounder further said.
