Ravindra Jadeja shares a good bonding with former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The duo plays together for their national team and IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Jadeja was roped in by CSK in IPL 2012 auction and since then he has proved to his mettle for the yellow army.
Amid coronavirus pandemic, cricketers are forced to stay in their houses. As a result, they are spending more time on social media connecting with their friends and teammates. CSK star Jadeja is no exception. He has been posting funny images and videos about his teammates on Instagram.
On, Saturday (June 12), the Jamnagar-born posted a picture of MS Dhoni where the latter can be seen walking inside what seems to be an arena or the CSK dressing room. In the poster, Jadeja was seen celebrating a wicket, and below it has been mentioned that the all-rounder was awarded the Man of the Match’ in a game against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
However, what really caught the attention of the netizens was the poetic caption added by Jadeja.
“Tumhari nazron mein humne dekha … ajab si chhahat jalak rahi hai????@mahi7781 #bigbrother #rajputboys,” the 31-year-old wrote.
Coming back to cricket, the 13th season of IPL that was originally scheduled to get underway on March 29 but has been suspended indefinitely due to the coronavirus outbreak. Dhoni was all set to lead the three-time IPL winners this year as well. It would have been his first appearance in competitive cricket ever since that heartbreaking World Cup 2019 semi-final defeat against New Zealand in England.
CSK were scheduled to face their arch-rivals and defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in the tournament opener at the iconic Wankhede Stadium. At the same time, Dhoni could also have proved a point or two by making his batting and keeping skills do the talking so that the selectors hope to consider him when they announce India’s squad for the 2020 T20 World Cup in Australia.
