India and Mumbai teammates Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane recently engaged in banter on Instagram. The premier Indian opener asked Rahane to get back to playing as soon as possible after the latter posted an interesting tweet.
Amid lockdown, and ever-growing numbers of COVID-19 fatalities, cricketers are forced to stay home-bound with no access to training facilities.
Both Rohit and Rahane reside in the city of Mumbai, which is the worst hit in the country. However, the congestion in the metropolitan city renders no space for athletes to train in their residence.
It was only a few days back when Rahane called for at least two months of training before the resumption of international cricket.
Rahane last featured during the two-match Test series in New Zealand earlier in 2020, while Rohit had pulled out from the ODI and Test leg of the tour, after suffering a hamstring injury.
The Indian number five in Test, Rahane, has kept himself busy in unique ways, which he mentioned through his recent post on Twitter.
“Everyday I take out some time for myself where I rest with my thoughts, type it out & go through old pictures. It really helps in keeping a peaceful mind. #Technology,” Rahane wrote in his tweet by attaching a picture of him browsing through his laptop.

To which Rohit replied by saying, “Seriously bro you need to start playing ASAP,” along with a perplexing emoji.

Soon after, Rahane hit back at the fellow Mumbaikar with: “Cricket shuru hote hi hum bhi shuru,”
