Steve Smith picks the current best fielder, also opines on Rahul Dravid and MS Dhoni

Australian batting maestro, Steve Smith, recently conducted a Q&A session, where he has opined on India cricketers Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid and MS Dhoni.

Unlike other cricketing icons, Smith hasn’t been quite frequent on social media, amid global lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic.

With the help of these Q&A sessions, top international stars try to remain connected and relevant to their fans. Smith answered several queries ranging from his cricket and his life overall.

There, he made some interesting calls, one of them being live-wire Ravindra Jadeja as the best fielder in the current era.

Also, he picked the Indian Premier League (IPL) as the most competitive league in the world due to the presence of top cricketers around the world.

‘Freak’ was what Smudge tagged Kohli as when asked for one word to describe the Indian captain. Earlier, he even praised the Chasemaster’s unique gift of chasing scores.

When asked about his opinion on Dhoni, Smith responded by calling him a legend. Also, the Test great who holds Bradmenesque numbers rated Indian ace batsman, KL Rahul, highly.

The marquee Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) cricketer chose Rahul as the cricketer from India who impressed him the most.

Also, the former Australian skipper heaped praises on ‘The Wall’ of Indian cricket, and termed him as a ‘lovely gentleman’ and ‘a seriously good player’.

Both Smith and Dravid are renowned for spending a long time at the crease and tiring out bowlers with their defence in red-ball cricket.

Further, Smith opined on the upcoming modern great, Babar Azam of Pakistan. Smith affirmed that he is an outstanding player, and reckoned he has a lot of time while batting.

Smith was all set to resume his services for RR in the thirteenth season of IPL. However, due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in India, the tournament was postponed definitely.
