‘Who had proposed first you or Nupur mam?’ Fan asks Bhuvneshwar Kumar; the pacer gives an honest reply

Amid coronavirus pandemic across the globe, several international cricketers have been quite active on social media these days. From participating in live sessions to interacting with their fans and followers on various platforms, the players have kept themselves busy during the forced break from cricket.

India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar became the latest cricketer to conduct an Instagram Live session as he interacted with his fans on Sunday evening. The 30-year-old responded to almost every query from the netizens.

Bhuvneshwar hogged the limelight for his reply to a fan who asked him who proposed first between his relationship with Nupur Nagar. ‘Who had proposed first you or Nupur mam?’ asked the Instagram user.

To this, Bhuvi came up with an honest reply as he wrote: ‘I did’ with a three hearts emoji.

Also, there was a fan who seemed to be a little sad as his girlfriend was about to be get married. The fan wrote, “Sir, meri girlfriend ki sadi ho rahi hain… Jisa se main bahut pyar karta hu (Sir, my girlfriend is getting married… I love her very much).” Bhuvi replied to the fan and wrote, “Stay strong and keep smiling.”

Bhuvneshwar also revealed that he met Nupur, his wife, back in 2001. They tied the knot in 2017.

Talking about cricket, the Meerut-born seamer was all set to make his comeback to the national team after three months during the ODI series against South Africa, but the limited-overs leg was postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak.

Bhuvneshwar had regained the top spot in the Indian side in 2018-19, but another injury ruled him out of action. He missed the ODI series against West Indies, T20Is against Sri Lanka, ODI series against Australia and complete tour of New Zealand.

Courtesy his back issues, Bhuvneshwar hasn’t played a Test for more than two years now. He was a part of the Test squad for Australia tour but didn’t get a place in the playing XI. He was dropped from the Test squad for the West Indies tour after the ODI World Cup in England and isn’t expected to be back in red-ball team for now.
