Former Australian pacer great Brett Lee recently named his favourite Bollywood actress. Lee was part of the triumphant Australian side when they clinched the 2003 and 2007 ODI World Cups.
Also, Lee had a huge fan-following in India and was one of the most celebrated overseas stars to step foot in the country.
Lee, who had a band of his own, also voiced a track along with legendary Indian singer Asha Bhosle.
Apart from his credentials for Australia, Lee also served numerous franchises such as Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL); and the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League (BBL).
In a recent interaction, Lee was quizzed about his favourite Bollywood actress. To which, he named his former franchise co-owner Preity Zinta.
According to Daily Mail, the ex speedster suggested that he was looking forward to Preity watching his acting debut in ‘UnIndian’.
Both Lee and Preity were spotted celebrating KXIP wins on numerous occasions in the IPL.
During the first three seasons of the IPL, the express fast-bowler represented KXIP, under the captaincy of Yuvraj Singh.
From there on, he went on to represent KKR where he won the 2012 IPL title, playing under Gautam Gambhir. The beloved cricketer also had close ties with Shah Rukh Khan, the co-owner of KKR.
In the 38 IPL games in his career, Lee picked up 25 wickets at a decent economy rate of 7.50. The 43-year-old was renowned for wreaking havoc at opposition’s camp with his raw pace.
