The current Team India captain Virat Kohli made his international debut against Sri Lanka in Dambulla on August 18, 2008, marking the beginning of one of the glorious chapters of Indian cricket.

As he nears the completion of 12 years in international cricket, Kohli took to Instagram on Thursday and shared an exciting picture. Kohli seems to have aced photo-editing skills as the image had a Kohli from 2008 fist-bumping with the Kohli of 2020.

“With many learnings along the way, I’m grateful for your love and support you guys have shown me,” Kohli said while sharing his 1000th post on Instagram.

Stand-up comedian and TV host Danish Sait aka Mr Nags, who does cracking shows with Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), dropped down a funny comment on the photo.

“Oh man, I thought it was the drinks from last night. Correct, it’s 2 Virat’s!” Danish wrote.

India off-spinner Harbhajan also Singh responded to Kohli’s post, wishing him another ten years in international cricket. “Keep going till 2030,” Bhajji wrote.

Virat Kohli-Harbhajan Singh camaraderie

Kohli made his way in the Indian team when Harbhajan was a senior member in the squad. The duo is regularly seen poking fun at each other online, leaving hilarious comments on each other’s posts. Last year, when the RCB captain had posted a picture of himself on Instagram with a caption about learning and growth, Harbhajan was quick to come up with a witty reply. The veteran off-spinner poked fun at Kohli’s high net-worth while commenting.

Recently, when Bhajji posted a picture of himself working out, Virat jokingly said that the building is shaking as a result of the former’s workout. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star has also mentioned in the past that Kohli is one of the toughest batsmen to bowl to since he doesn’t have any weakness.

Both the players will face off against each other soon, with IPL 2020 scheduled to take place in UAE later this year.
